The Company

Sennott Consulting is a small group of mortgage industry experts that is led by Mark Sennott. A former award-winning investigative reporter who was nominated twice for the Pulitzer Prize, Sennott has spent more than 25 years in the appraisal and valuation business.

Over the years, Sennott has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the American Banker and the Washington Post, leading the charge to keep independently tested AVMs as a viable valuation alternative for home equity loans and other channels.

The company’s current focus is to leverage decades of experience in the use of appraisal, evaluations and AVMs to help lenders, Appraisal Management Companies and others navigate the new regulatory framework to bring more fairness to lending.

Some Current Engagements

• Working with a Northwest technology company to develop new valuation solutions, including condition-informed AVMs.

• Consulting with a large regional home equity lender to develop a multi-AVM cascade

• Developing Reconsideration of Value (ROV) best practices for a top-25 lender.
